The new freedom policy for Hire and Reward vehicle Owners

Freedom is the Brand title for the newly released Motor policy from WMIA.

The purpose of “Freedom” is to give the Hire and Reward policyholder an excellent product and service, meaning they can get on with their lives knowing that their vehicle insurance is in safe hands.

WMIA has taken its core policy developed over nearly 60 years experience in the Hire and Reward industry and improved it to ensure it is fit to embrace the driving needs of the 21st century.

The policy has been written in plain English and set out to assist all policyholders in understanding what is and as importantly what is not covered.

COVER

The policy gives all the necessary legal liability cover required to meet the needs of the road traffic act but also goes beyond this so that it gives:

Public liability cover up to £10 million whilst carrying out his/her occupation as a driver whilst away from the vehicle
Passenger luggage cover for up to £500 per fare paying passenger
Permanent Fitted accessory cover for all the added extras that are so essential in the taxi today
Foreign use inclusion as standard
Personal Effects cover for drivers - £250 cover for personal effects damaged or lost in an accident
Option to protect No Claims Discount for the life of the policy from 3 years No Claims Discount
Improved Capital benefits

Loyalty scheme

All policyholders will automatically join the WMIA loyalty plan that gives extended discounts and benefits the longer a policyholder stays with the company.

Service provision

In the event of a claim:
Freedom will ensure a policyholder gets:

Fast assessment and authorisation of repairs
No requirement for multiple estimates
Customer choice of repairer
Local agreements to speed up access to repairers
If the vehicle is a total loss and is less than 6 months old the value of settlement will be for a new vehicle.

Vehicle replacement in the event of non-fault accidents (Subject to local licensing restrictions)

Free uninsured loss recovery service – legal expenses cover

Plated vehicle hire (where possible)
