Under 25's taxi insurance?
Drivers aged 21 yrs and over are acceptable for new business and renewals only on some schemes subject to increased compulsory policy excess of £150.
The acceptance rules vary depending on the type of vehicle and it's use……. Black Cab or Saloon Car.
Purpose built taxi including Black Cabs and EuroCab type vehicles. Drivers aged 21 and over are acceptable as policyholder or additional driver provided they meet all of the following criteria:
Must have held a full UK/EU Driving Licence for at least 3 Years
Cover is Comprehensive
Must be 'Purpose Built' taxi *
Public Hire use only The following vehicles are classed as 'Purpose Built Taxi'.

Private car type vehicles (including MPV's). Drivers aged 21 and over are acceptable as an additional driver (on some schemes) only provided that they and the policyholder meet all of the following criteria:
Policyholder:
Must hold at least 3 years taxi NCB
Cover must be Comprehensive
Public Hire or Private Hire use
Additional Driver:
Must have held a taxi badge for at least 2 years
Must have held a full UK/EU Driving Licence for at least 3 Years
